His fingers lightly touched Todd's chest, grateful to feel it rising and falling steadily. Kurt's eyes flicked to the ring of bruises around his throat, one set each on his arms where the guards had perhaps dragged him or held him still. It had been unecessary - Kurt had left his share of bruises in their long-ago fights and he knew the level of pain that would make Todd back down. They had gone well beyond it; turning deaf ears to his curses, his pleading screams. Kurt grit his teeth and put a bracing arm around Todd's back. There would be time for anger later. He spared enough for a gentle kiss to the boy's shoulder. The cell was left barren save for traces of swirling vapor.

Probably won't really write more than that. I was jonesing for some hurtage, and Todd raised his hand, thinking I was asking if anyone wanted a burger. That boy needs to clean out his ears better . . . -_-;
